Banana chips brand Beyond Snack, based in Kerala, has successfully closed a Series A funding round, raising $8.3 million.
This milestone was driven by 12 Flags Group, a consumer-focused investment fund spearheaded by Rakesh Kapoor, former CEO of Reckitt Benckiser.
Other notable contributors to the funding include NAB Ventures, which increased its investment in the brand, alongside Japanese VC firm Enrission India Capital and Faad Network. Beyond Snack had previously garnered $3.5 million in a pre-Series A round in July 2023 from NAB Ventures Fund, highlighting consistent investor confidence.
The fresh capital will fuel Beyond Snack’s ambitions of exploring untapped markets, enhancing its product offerings, and reinforcing its supply chain. As the company sets its sights on global expansion, it also aims to drive innovation in its plant-based snack portfolio.
Co-founded by Manas Madhu, Jyoti Rajguru, and Gautam Raghuraman, Beyond Snack is known for its commitment to producing banana chips free from artificial additives. Currently operating in 12 countries, the brand continues to witness robust demand, particularly in international markets.
This latest funding round underscores Beyond Snack’s vision of establishing itself as a leader in the global plant-based snack segment while staying true to its roots of offering healthy and natural products
