London transports outfitted with giant fake eyelashes? It’s more likely than you think!
Maybelline, a beauty brand based in New York, has stunned every Londoner and beauty fan with their latest bizarre beauty campaign.
In an attempt to promote their Lash Sensational Sky High Waterproof Mascara, Maybelline decided to go wild. They created a video around TikTok before circulating it around social media, snatching people’s attention. In the video, a train on the London tube is fitted with a giant pair of fake eyelashes attached to the front carriage. As the train came closer, the eyelashes rolled under a gorgeously pink mascara wand, a 3D optical illusion which looked like it was sticking out of the platform wall.
Another clip showed a London bus with a similar pair of fake lashes which were done up by a bottle of – you guessed it – Maybelline’s latest new Lash Sensational Sky High Waterproof Mascara.

It’s safe to say that the internet is obsessed. “This is the best thing i’ve ever seen in my life,” a Twitter user commented, and another said that, “They graduated from the Barbie marketing university with HONORS,”, referring to the fearlessness and flamboyance of the campaign. Some Londoners are even planning to track down the glamorous tube bus and carriage so they can see them in real life.
Maybelline’s stunt seems to have worked, as their brand-new mascara has taken over TikTok by storm. Several creators have already tested it out and posted glowing reviews on its bamboo-extract-enriched formula.
