Dairy-tech startup ORIGHT has successfully secured $1 million in seed funding, with Aeravti Ventures leading the investment round. This Gurugram-based company, which had earlier received $847,000 from investors like Loyal, plans to utilize the new funding to enhance its platform and product offerings while supporting the farmers, processors, and distributors who are part of its ecosystem.
Founded in 2019 by Utkarsh Kapoor and Rame Kachroo, ORIGHT specializes in creating IoT devices that enable comprehensive milk traceability. These devices monitor critical factors such as milk quality, including temperature, humidity, fat content, solids-not-fat (SNF), water levels, and any possible adulterants. In addition, the devices track the movement of milk from production to its final packaging, keeping an eye on various stages such as chiller storage, transportation, and environmental conditions during packing.
The data collected by ORIGHT’s IoT devices is transmitted to a blockchain network, ensuring transparency and security throughout the supply chain. This technology-driven approach helps the company establish a more synchronized and efficient dairy supply chain, focused on maintaining high-quality standards and sustainable practices from the farm to the consumer.
With this fresh infusion of capital, ORIGHT is poised to expand its reach and continue empowering key players in the dairy industry. Through innovation and advanced technology, the company aims to build a system that ensures traceability, accountability, and trust across the entire value chain.
