Paris Olympics: Atlys CEO to offer free visas despite Neeraj Chopra’s silver medal

“It’s not the colour of the medal but our spirit that shines.”

Earlier this month, Atlys CEO Mohak Nahta had promised free visas to all Indians for a day if Neera Chopra won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Although the Indian athlete won silver, losing first place in javelin throw to Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, Mohak Nahta has announced that he will go ahead with his promise regardless.

Taking to LinkedIn, Nahta declared that the “spirit” of the sport mattered more than the color of the medal. He has instructed people who commented with their emails on his earlier post to expect instructions from Atlys on how to redeem this offer shortly.

Nahta’s offer is a golden marketing opportunity to leverage national support for Neeraj Chopra in order to enhance appreciation for Atlys. The CEO’s gesture has been met with excitement from the Indian community eagerly await the chance to avail the promised free visas.

Promise kept beyond limits,” one user praised.

Thank U Mohak Nahta Sir For Fulfilling Your Promise and giving me Oppurtunity to Apply For Visa. So On Your Email, I successfully Applied for Canadian Tourist Visas Absolutely Free Under Neeraj Chopra Olympic Medal Scheme. Again Big Thx 2 u. Anyways I would Like to Join Your team Atlys,” another commented.

However, some LinkedIn users have encountered issues with the free visa offer.

I got the email but I can’t login. Not receiving the otp to login,” one of them wrote.

Dear Mohak Nahta – Thank you for keeping your promise. I received the email, but upon logging in, I can’t see any free visas; everything still shows a $ value,” another added.

Neeraj Chopra’s silver medal has made him the second Indian male athlete to win two Olympic medals in an individual event post India’s independence. Despite their fierce competition on the field, Chopra and Nadeem maintain a strong friendship in life, with Chopra previously supporting Nadeem when he sought funds for a quality javelin.
