Interior Design Trends for 2025, ft. Ridhi Khosla Jalan

Top interior designer and entrepreneur Ridhi Khosla Jalan has predicted some of the upcoming interior design trends for 2025.

In our rapidly changing world, she highlighted the increasing need to adapt to technological enhancements in all walks of life, including interior design.

“Your homes have to be even more tech enabled,” she answered in a recent episode of Aleena Dissects. “From your fan being remote-controlled to the lights being voice-controlled, everything is not automated. It’s not even a choice. Your home just has to be a lot more tech enabled.”

On social media, Ridhi Khosla Jalan has also spoken up about integrating AI into interior design.

“AI in terms of design is a very good communication tool,” she explained. “I don’t think it can make your final home or anything like that, but if I as a designer am visualizing something, and I don’t want to spend time creating auto ads and 3D renderings and all of that, I can actually tell AI to design it for me, and I can immediately show you a picture saying, ‘This is what I’m thinking about. Are you liking it or not liking it, and we can tweak it from there’.”

In particular, Midjourney is her preferred AI tool and a must-have for all interior designers.

Interior designers are also increasingly turning to social media to document their work and grow a substantial following. Although Ridhi Khosla Jalan leading the way with over 660k Instagram followers, she had a very different motivation in mind when starting out.

“You have to understand why you’re doing it. What is your purpose? My purpose was never to promote my own business. My purpose was always to share whatever knowledge I have,” she revealed.

For any aspiring interior designers who wish to double as content creators and build an Instagram following for themselves, Ridhi Khosla Jain had one key advice: understand your purpose.

“Is the purpose to get more work? Is the purpose to share knowledge? Is the purpose just to show cool discoveries as they go along on their journey or design? Once you figure out “why”, your mind is also clear, and you automatically create content for that.”

As for the process of interior design in itself, another potential trend in 2025 is people becoming increasingly proud of buying and using “Made in India” products.

“No more going to other parts of the world to pick up things,” Jalan said. “The world goes to China or Italy or even Dubai for accessories. You don’t need to do that anymore; you get everything in India.”

“2025 is going to be a lot more about seeing Indian brands blooming even further and being used in homes,” she concluded.

However, these were not Ridhi Khosla Jalan’s only revelations in the episode. Sitting down with Aleena, founder and CEO of Social Media Dissect, the talented interior designer shared invaluable insights about home design, including must-know tips, common mistakes to avoid, and the secret of handling clients with different styles. She also opened up about her personal experiences, from her college journey during pregnancy to her work with A.J. Rahman to some upcoming plans to look forward to.
