New Delhi, 21-07-2025 : On July 29, 2025, in New Delhi, Equilead will stage its main event, “Lead with Equity.” The meeting will bring together top philanthropy, policy, and social enterprise experts to discuss an important issue: What needs to happen to make gender equity a part of India’s climate and development plans, funding, and governance?
Lead with Equity is now in its third year. It has become a key place for groups that want to go beyond representation and create systems where inclusion is linked to decision-making and accountability. This year’s program is about making organisations genuinely gender-just by focusing on things like equity in climate resilience, inclusive leadership in manufacturing, mentorship paths for women in impact roles, and the structural power shifts that need to happen.
Anuradha Das Mathur (Vedica Scholars), Meera Shenoy (Youth4Jobs), Dr. Nisha Dhawan (EMpower), Dr. Nidhi Pundhir (HCL Foundation), Sahil Tandon (Foundation CHANEL), Maithilee Shirgaonkar-Jamsandekar (Raintree Foundation), Moutushi Sengupta (Oneworld Colab), and Dr. Seema Bhatia Panthaki (AVPN) are some of the speakers. During the meeting, there will be strategic roundtables, peer-led keynotes, and sector-specific discussions to find models for equity-led growth that can be implemented.
Anchal Kakkar, co-founder of EquiLead, remarked, “Equity can’t be reduced to workshop checklists or representation goals. It has to affect how plans are made, how money is spent, and whose information is used to make climate and development programs. Lead with Equity is not a place to reach an agreement; it is a place to rethink what good leadership looks like in this decade.”
The event builds on the effects of past editions, such as She the Change 2023, which led to changes in workplace policies at more than 15 organisations. More than 350 people from throughout the ecosystem came to Lead with Equity 2024.
