New Delhi, November 19, 2025: The sixth season of the Delhi Theatre Festival (DTF) concluded on a triumphant note, reiterating its prominence as India’s premier celebration of storytelling. Held from November 14 to 16 across four distinguished venues: Siri Fort Auditorium, NCUI Auditorium, OP Jindal Auditorium, and Aurum Conventions, the festival delivered an immersive experience that captivated theatre enthusiasts and set new benchmarks for live performance in the country.
This season showcased an exceptional set of productions that combined artistic excellence with emotional depth. Naseeruddin Shah’s Einstein stood out as a landmark performance, offering audiences a significant glimpse into the moral dilemmas and intellectual conflicts of one of history’s greatest minds.
Equally exciting was Makarand Deshpande’s Sir Sir Sarla, a touching exploration of love and memory that challenged conventional narrative structures and left audiences with a lasting impact. Furthermore, adding to the festival’s allure, Anupam Kher’s autobiographical play Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai resonated deeply with viewers, proving that personal journeys, when narrated with honesty, can be just as engaging as fiction.
Furthermore, veteran artists, including Pankaj Kapur and Supriya Pathak, delivered stunning performances, bringing depth and brilliance to these thought-provoking plays.
Sharing his delight on the grand success of DTF Season 6, Mr. Prabhu Tony, CEO and Co-founder of Alchemist Live, stated, “Season 6 was meticulously designed to elevate the theatre experience by bringing together legends on a single platform. The overwhelming audience response validates our vision of creating a space where theatre thrives as both art and dialogue.”
Echoing his views, Pankaj Kapur stated, “Performing Dreamz at Delhi Theatre Festival was a privilege. The audience’s engagement and curiosity are a testament to the growing inclination for meaningful theatre in India. Festivals like DTF create a rare space where art is celebrated with sincerity, and I am honoured to be part of this cultural movement.”
The festival’s magnificence was further elevated by the dedicated support of its partners. American Express continued its association as Title Sponsor for the sixth consecutive year, offering exclusive benefits to its Platinum Card Members, while M3M India served as the Powered By sponsor for this season. Their collaboration ensured that DTF Season 6 offered a holistic experience that combined world-class performances with remarkable hospitality.
With over 13 shows, an estimated footfall exceeding 15,000, and widespread acclaim from critics and audiences alike, Delhi Theatre Festival Season 6 has redefined theatrical excellence.
Replicating its success story will be the upcoming Bengaluru Theatre Festival (BTF) from December 5th to 7th and Hyderabad Theatre Festival (HTF) from December 12th to 14th. Both festivals will showcase iconic productions, celebrated artists, and innovative narratives, serving as vibrant platforms for theatre lovers across India.
