After more than 100 days, the grand finale of Bigg Boss season 17 finally began. On Sunday, host Salman Khan declared Munawar Faruqui the winner of the season, with Abhishek Kumar as the runner-up.

The reality show began on Colors on October 16th, followed by weeks of drama, emotional turmoil and heated clashes. The prize money stood at 50 lakh, along with a Hyundai Creta car, leading to a rush of anticipation for the finale.

The five finalists of the season included Munawar Faruqui, Ankita Lokhande, Mannara Chopra, Abhishek Kumar and Arun Mashettey. Other contestants from the season, including Aishwarya Sharma and Neil Bhatt, Isha Malviya, Sana Khan, Rinku Dhawan, Sunny Arya, Khanzaadi, Soniya Bansal and others, will also be joining host Salman Khan on the final day, along with the families of the finalists.

Ultimately, it was Munawar Faruqui who secured the grand prize, delighting his fans across the country. He took to Instagram to share a picture of himself beside Salman Khan, holding the trophy.

The comments were flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and friends. “Finally,” one user wrote. “Most deserving,” another wrote.

A start-up comedian, rapper and entertainer, Munawar Faruqui was catapulted to fame after his standup comedy video named “Dawood, Yamraaj & Aurat” in April 2020. His fame grew from there due to his debut song, “Jawab”, in collaboration with Indian musician Spectra. Nor is this the first reality TV show that he has won. In 2022, he became a contestant on Kangana Ranaut’s show “Lock Upp,” and was declared the winner in May.

However, his participation in Bigg Boss made him rise even further, and he now has an astonishing 11.9 million followers on Instagram.
