Brazilian fitness influencer Larissa Borges died after suffering from two back-to-back cardiac arrests at the age of 33. Her death was confirmed by her heartbroken family members on social media two days ago.
“It is with deep sadness that we report the death of our beloved Larissa Borges,” her family said in Portuguese. “Larissa suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday, the 20th, in Gramado-RS and fought bravely in a coma for a week.”
Larissa Borges dies on August 28th after suffering from a second cardiac arrest. According to the statement and local media, she was undergoing treatment after being hospitalized on August 20th for a previous cardiac arrest that hit her when she was travelling in Gramado city. She subsequently went into coma for a week before being struck with another attack and unfortunately died shortly after.
“The pain of losing someone so young, just 33 years old, and so kind, is overwhelming,” her family’s post read. “Our hearts are broken, and the longing we will feel is indescribable.”

Larissa Borges was remembered fondly for her joyful, captivating personality. Her family wrote: “She was known for her captivating personality, always bringing smiles to those around her. Her presence illuminated any environment, and her contagious energy was missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.”
Her family concluded their statement by promising to share more information about her passing and burial. “May her soul rest in peace and may her memory always be remembered with affection and gratitude. We ask everyone to wait for information about the burial, which will be announced shortly”, they wrote.
However, there is still no clarification on what exactly led to her death. A preliminary investigation has revealed that Larissa Borges may have been intoxicated when she suffered heart problems.
Deputy Gustavo Barcellos has suggested the possibility of the consumption of narcotic substances, accumulated with alcoholic beverages.
Barcellos said: “Let’s try to look through laboratory tests for substances that she possibly consumed. We have already heard the boyfriend who was with her and we are investigating the case”. Larissa Borges’ body will be sent for post-mortem for further investigation, and authorities are hopeful that this will provide more details on the circumstances that led to her painful and unfortunate demise.
