When Ikea first entered the Indian market in 2018, almost everyone was excited about its entry and looked forward to it with much anticipation. Albeit, the same couldn’t be said for Ikea’s rivals in the Indian market. One brand, however, made it quite known that they were less than thrilled about the entry.

In a series of social media posts, Godrej Interio made its competitor known that they were still the preferred brand in the market.

Using Ikea’s famous colors (yellow and blue) alongside their font, Godrej Interio let Ikea know that Free Installation, Warranty, and solid EMI options were their forte and no one could have them beat, all while punning Ikea’s name.

 

 

 

Although Ikea didn’t directly respond to Godrej Interio’s dig at them, the community organization ConnectPlus had no problems doing so.
