Mumbai, December 11th, 2025 – Golden Goose celebrates creativity with the unveiling of a new co-designed sneaker with India’s leading couturier, Manish Malhotra, at the brand’s flagship store in Mumbai. Manish Malhotra’s prolific career spanning over 35 years has seen him redefine Indian fashion as a couturier, costume stylist, entrepreneur, and revivalist. Beginning his journey as a model, his passion for movies and fashion soon led him to become one of the most influential costume designers and style icons in the Indian film industry.
This exclusive partnership comes to life through two limited-edition sneakers co-designed with Manish, accompanied by a unique Co-Creation experience envisioned by the artist himself. The collaboration debuted during an in-store event on December 11th at the Mumbai flagship.
The two sneakers reflect a balance between Golden Goose’s craftsmanship and Manish’s signature opulence. The women’s sneaker, crafted in white cream suede, is embellished with delicate gold floral embroidery, while the men’s version mirrors the same intricate motif on a sleek black suede base. Each design embodies Manish’s refined aesthetic — elegant, expressive, and deeply rooted in the artisanal tradition.
Over the course of the event, guests had the opportunity to collaborate with Golden Goose artisans, known as Dream Makers, through Co-Creation—adding personalized touches to their sneakers. To highlight the craftsmanship and emphasize the exclusivity of the collection, clients could choose from different sneaker tongues, each uniquely embellished with crystal charms and brooches, creating truly one-of-a-kind pieces.
Speaking about these creations, Manish shared: “For me, this was about bringing my own journey as a couturier together with Golden Goose’s artisanal heritage. Right from the start, I wanted to experiment with embroideries and floral motifs in a fresh way, letting the spirit of Indian craftsmanship meet Italian design.”
Inspired by his own journey, Manish combines spontaneous color choices with distinctive materials to tell stories through design.
Following the private in-store event, the celebration continued with an evening party and live DJ set by Nida Merchant, attended by notable guests including the likes of Aryan Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Sara Tendulkar, Kanika Kapoor, Masaba Gupta, Pratibha Ranta, Nandita Mahthani and Dino Morea, amongst several others.
The special Co-Designed sneakers will be available in a limited assortment starting December 11th, 2025.
